New Program

January 20, 2010

Support Functions, Inc announced today that through its exclusive agreement with Sovran Training LLC, it will be making a new training program available to its clients in the coming months.

Understanding Financial Statements and Financial Controls will be a one-day workshop for retail managers. Current course structures focus on retail food outlets and gas stations, but Gabriela Santamaria, Chief Operating Officer of Sovran Training, commented that the program can be customized to suit the needs of any retail business customer.

“The program is designed for the front line manager who has responsibility for operating revenue and expenses” said Ms. Santamaria. “It focuses on real-world outcomes, and is designed to help managers develop meaningful KPIs for their business, along with the tools to go back to work the next day and achieve those KPIs.”

Ms. Santamaria commented that, in spite of high demand for this sort of training, she felt that there was a distinct lack of this type of program in the marketplace. “Too many training and development companies want to sell the management system of the week, based on the last book they read by a management guru. It’s hard work to develop programs that give your front line managers real skills that have immediate impact on the bottom line. Well, we’ve done that hard work, and we think our clients and the rest of the market place will be impressed.”

Ms. Santamaria said that Sovran has plans to develop more training programs of this kind throughout 2007, to meet the overwhelming customer demand.
